Eyeglasses (near Kolkata, West Bengal and Patna, Bihar)
In partnership with the VisionSpring and two microfinance organizations (Nidan in Patna, Bihar and the Village Welfare Society in the Howrah District, West Bengal) trained local people to be 'vision entrepreneurs'. Working in rural villages as well as urban slums, entrepreneurs screen, examine, provide eyeglasses, and make medical problem referrals.
